Shawnda Merriman and Linda Sherman Join Digital Risk as Vice Presidents of Master Risk Management™

Todd Whittemore, Executive Vice President, Master Risk Management, has announced that Shawnda Merriman and Linda Sherman have joined Digital Risk as vice presidents of Master Risk Management™, to assist in building the Master Risk Management team.
Digital Risk’s Master Risk Management solution combines traditional reporting and remittance verification functions of master servicing with state-of-the-art collateral and servicer risk management solutions. As an independent service provider, Digital Risk can effectively oversee monthly loan level activity, thereby driving proactive loss management processes. Their platform allows for custom reporting of loan level activity including general ledger interface.
Shawnda Merriman has 29 years of mortgage industry experience. Prior to joining Digital Risk, she was the senior vice president of servicing at Charles F. Curry Company, a GSE servicer for Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, FHA, and VA. Over 10 years of her experience at Curry was managing all functions of servicing default from collections to REO disposition. Her master servicing expertise includes default oversight, servicer oversight, vendor management and regulatory compliance. Shawnda’s recent servicing loss mitigation experience includes extensive knowledge and operational management of GSE and non-GSE pre-sales, forbearance, deed in lieu, traditional and HAMP modification, and HAFA. “Shawnda’s extensive overall servicing, default servicing and master servicing knowledge and experience will be invaluable in her role as Servicer Oversight Manager.” said Whittemore. “Her strong leadership capabilities will allow Digital Risk to quickly integrate servicing review and oversight services into our state of the art technology platform.”
Linda Sherman brings 20 years of servicing industry experience with leading mortgage servicing firms. Her master servicing expertise includes due diligence, servicer site reviews, investor reporting, investor accounting, cash management, transaction management, project management and risk management. Throughout her career, Linda has been involved in whole loan acquisitions, loan sales, loan securitizations, servicing transfers, cash flow reconciliations, and general ledger reconciliations. “Linda’s impressive experience in Investor Reporting/Accounting and whole loan master servicing make her an ideal candidate to manage our whole loan master servicing processes.” stated Whittemore. “Digital Risk is fortunate to be able to leverage her system’s knowledge and proven ability to provide creative solutions for clients while maintaining outstanding operational controls.
